Project Youth
Program Goals:
1. Raise academic achievement levels for participating students
2. Improve social/community connections for students and their parents
3. Expand opportunities and world view for students
Eligibility any student in 1st-8th grade at Brown, Bartlett, Hillside, Berlin Junior High or Gorham Middle High School
Project Youth provides homework assistance, enrichment activities that connect to school curriculum, physical activities and arts and computers to all students enrolled in the after school programs. The programs run from 2:30-5:00, are located in the schools and use school day teachers to help with homework and some of the enrichement activities. The programs serve approximately 250 students. All students receive a healthy snack and most are provided transportation home at the end of the program. Project Youth works closely with the Arts Alliance of Northern NH to provide arts experiences through the ArtLinks program. The programs in Berlin are funded by the NH Dept of Education 21st Century Learning Centers Program.
Fees The programs operate on a sliding fee scale.
