  2. Increase the number of low wage workers who access publicly funded work supports and improve their financial position

Eligibility:  Low wage workers and their families

The Family Resource Center was chosen as one of 10 organizations nation-wide to pilot the Employee Support Program which will work with area employers to connect their low wage workers to benefit programs available to them from the public sector.  The Employee Support Program is funded by the Families and Work Institute with support from the Ford Foundation.  The Carsey Institute will provide the evaluation model to assess the impact of this effort on low income families and the impact at the employer level on retention, job satisfaction and employee morale.
