Denise Vallee, President  ~  Denise has been employed by the Town of Gorham since 1996, she currently holds the position of Director of Finance and Administration.  She is active in the community, serving on the Family Resource Center Board of Directors, as the Director of the Miss Berlin-Gorham Scholarship Program, Inc., a member of the Community Theater Project Committee and the Gorham Recreation Commission.  Denise completed the 2005 North Country Leadership Program.  She received the North Country Community Service Award from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation in 2006.  Denise has been a Gorham resident since 1972 and values the sense of community and quality of life found north of the notches.  She is married to Dennis and has two daughters, Denielle and Denah.

Pam Laflamme, Vice-President ~ Pam is the City Planner for the City of Berlin.  She has worked for the City since 2000.  Pam earned her BS in Community and Regional Planning from Plymouth State University in 1997.  She serves on several boards and committees in the Androscoggin Valley, including the Androscoggin Valley Hospital, the Citizen's Advisory Committee for the Northern NH Correctional Facility, Berlin Main Street Program and the Family Resource Center.  She is a Leadership NH alumnus, Class of 2004.  Pam was selected by the Fannie Mae Foundation for a Fellowship at the Kennedy School of Government for State and Local Officials working in government.  She most recently was recognized by Business NH Maganize as one of 25 Leaders for the Future.  She lives in Gorham, NH with her husband Paul and children, Matthew, 9 and Katherine, 5.

Jean Malick, Treasurer ~ Jean has been on the board of the FRC since 2008 and recently agreed to be treasurer.  Jean grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and went to college at the University of Northern Colorado.  She retired from the Gorham school system in 2005 where she taught mathematics since 1968.  She is presently the chair of the trustees of the Randolph Public Library and was part of the committee who oversaw the fundraising and building of the new library in Randolph.  She is currently serving on the board of the Randolph Foundation, a member of the Friends of the Randolph public Library and a volunteer in the VITA program at the FRC.  Jean enjoys hiking, gardening, tennis, quilting and bridge.

Betsy Hess, Secretary ~ Betsy is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Berlin.  She has served on many non-profit boards, including positions at the local, diocesan and national levels for the Episcopal Church, the Gorham Community Learning Center and the Friends of the Randolph Library.  She will be starting her second term on the Board of the Family Resource Center this fall.

Tami Hartley ~ Tami is a member of the Family Resource Center Board of Directors and serves as chairperson of the Policy Committee.  Tami is currently employed with Tri-County Community Action Program as a program Director for the Youth Alternatives Program, The Teen Center and North Country VISTA.  She is a graduate of Plymouth State College and is an avid runner and skier.

Martha Laflamme ~ Martha has served on the Family Resource Center Board of Directors since 2006.  She joined the FRC board because she values the work of non-profits and wanted to step outside of her comfort zone to offer her time and energy to an organization that accomplishes so much.  She has served on numerous boards and commissions since moving to the North Country in 1980.  Martha currently is a member of the Androscoggin Valley Board of Directors and serves as Vice Chair of the Berlin Board of Education.  She has a Masters degree in Education from Plymouth State.  Martha is Vice President of Student and Community Affairs at White Mountains Community College, a position she has held since 2002.  She has worked at the college since 1984.  She and her husband reside in Berlin and are the parents of two adult daughters.

Patti Stolte

Rebecca Hebert-Sweeny ~ Rebecca works for SAU#20 as a co-director of special services, serving students in the towns of Gorham, Randolph and Shelburne.  She has served on numerous advisory boards in institutions such as Plymouth State University, White Mountains Community College and in the local public schools.  She has worked in the field of education for 25 years, teaching and managing programs in both public and postsecondary schools.  Rebecca will be starting her 4th term on the board of the Family Resource Center this fall.

Sr. Monique Therriault ~ Sister Monique is a member of the Sisters of Mercy, NE Region.  Currently she is employed as Chaplain at Androscoggin Valley Hospital and is a member of the Board of Directors.  She serves on several committees of the Hospital including the Quality Committee and the Ethics Committee.  Sr. Monique is a member of the Hospice Team at AVH Home Health and Hospice and serves as the Spiritual Adviser for Hospice.  She holds a Masters Dregree from Emmanuel College in Boston, MA.  She has received additional training in Pastoral Care Education.  Sr. Monique is a Pastoral Associate at Good Shepherd Parish, 151 Emery Street, Berlin, NH. 

Fran Gardner ~ The Rev. Fran Gardner is a member of the Board of the Family Resource Center.  She serves as the rector at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Berlin and as the Diocesan Missioner for North Country Ministry, for the Espiscopal Diocese of NH.  Fran holds an AB cum laude in religion and english from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA; a Master of Arts in Teaching from Mount Holyoke College; and a Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary.  Prior to ordination Fran spent many years in Greenfield, MA managing an independent bookstore.  Before moving to the North Country, Fran lived and worked in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where she worked for the Episcopal Diocese of Northern Michigan supporting and encouraging ministry in a number of very small churches.  Outside of work, Fran enjoys running, hiking, and all manner of outdoor activities, knitting, and reading.  Fran agreed to serve on the FRC board, in order to support the good work that the FRC is doing to improve the lives of those living in the North Country.
